Citytrip to Prague

In April’18 we went on a 4 day citytrip to Prague with friends. I had no idea this city would stole my heart that much, especially the old part of the town with his narrow little streets, cute artisanal shops, the beautiful castle and amazing panoramic views.

What to wear in Prague ?

We were lucky to have warm Spring days with 20°C. My denim jacket and sneakers were my basic items. Switching from pants, to skirt even a maxi dress was totally appropriate to stroll around in the city.

Where to eat, what to do in Prague ?

The best way to get a quick overview about the city is to explore it with ‘I Like E-Bike tours’.

Tram22’s route is one of the most scenic of all. And with it’s frequent schedule, hopping on and off between the city’s sights is a breeze.

Dancing house / Hotel / Rooftop bar & restaurant Fred &Ginger

A highly original building resembling and also inspired by two dancers – the immortally famous duo of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The Nationale Nederlanden building, known as the “Dancing House” or sometimes “Fred and Ginger”, is one of the most significant landmarks in Prague and definitely the most internationally renowned piece of post-1989 Czech architecture. It is home to almost 3000 square meters of office premises, a hotel, a restaurant, a gallery, and a conference centre. Most importantly, there is a sightseeing terrace on top of it, from which you can overlook the breathtaking panorama of Prague.

Boat Hotel & Terrace Restaurant Matylda

U prince Terasa /best rooftop bar in Prague, where all ‘bloggers’ want to take a typical picture in the corner of the terrace, with the fab view over the Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock.

Kampa park restaurant is simply stunning, situated on the river bank next to the Charles Bridge.

Naplavka (Riverbank) farmer market and the Prague’s swans . The swans are photographed almost as much as some of the monuments, statues, cathedrals and buildings throughout the city.

Since 2002 the Nostress café restaurant has been winning the hearts of both tourists and locals who long for a vibrant, stylish place in the attractive and sought after city quarter of Old Town. Offering international cuisine that is based on simple, yet distinctive dishes from fine, masterly prepared ingredients, Nostress only works with top-quality products, most of which comes from Czech farmers.

Prague Castle sits on a hillside overlooking Prague. A medieval castle, today it is the seat of the President of the Czech Republic and a tourist attraction.

Bellavista restaurant : As its name suggests, Bella Vista’s expansive outdoor garden seating gives an unmatched view of the gorgeous city of Prague (you’ll hardly find a better view).
